Aura Visual Concepts, Inc. provides protective and filtration eyewear for a varienty of activities. These are:

• Glassworking, including traditional glassblowing and kiln worked glass, lampworking soft glass and lampworking borosilicate glass
• Metal working, including brazing and forge welding
• X-Ray radiation protection
• Laser Protection for both IR and CO2 Lasers

This selector form will help you select the proper type of eyewear you need. This selector assumes that you DO NOT cross over these major divisions of craft while working on the same piece (for example using a laser while you are exposed to X-Ray radiation or using a laser while forge welding). If you do cross over, please contact our sales department for assistance in selecting the proper eyewear.

We strongly suggest you review this information before selecting and purchasing your eyewear. To get started, please read through the following information to determine which type of eyewear you need.

Group 1: Hot and warm glass work

If any of the following work descriptions fits your activities, please click on the "Hot Shop' link below:

• Furnace glass, which includes traditional glassblowing, casting, and glory hole work
• Kiln forming, slumping and fusing
• Kiln enamelling (fusing glass enamels onto a metal substrate)

Group 2: Soft glass lampworking

If any of the following work descriptions fits your activities, please click on the 'Soft Glass Lampworking' link below:

• Lampworking Moretti, Lauscha, Satake, CIM, Bullseye, or any other "soft" glass with a COE greater than 85
• Beadmaking and pendant making using soft glass
• Sculptural work (torch worked) with soft glass

Group 3: Borosilicate glass lampworking

• Lampworking Glass Alchemy, Northstar, Momka or any other COE 33 glass type
• Pipe making using borosilicate glass

Group 4: Metal working

Group 5:X-Ray Radiation protection

Group 6: Laser Protection
