Other so-called readers are 'stock' - which means that they probably do not match your pupilliary distance (P.D.). Why is that important? If your eyes do not match the ground-in optical centers of the glasses, a condition known as induced prism exists. This prism can lead to headaches and eyestrain. The higher the reading power, the higher the amount of induced prism that can occur, and the greater the risk of headache and eyestrain. You are already focusing at very close range.
