Cerium Oxide Glass Polish
Cerium Oxide Glass Polish

Cerium oxide has long been used to polish glass, and now Aura Lens is bringing it to bead makers for use to polish mandrel holes.

Cerium Oxide Material Safety Data Sheet

Instructions for use:

Cerium oxide can be used over and over again. Most of your losses of material will be from residue left on the bead and your polishing mandrel. Combine a tablespoon of polish with a couple of drops of water and mix. Add additional drops of water until you have a very medium thick paste. Dip your polishing mandrel in the past, apply to bead hole and start the polishing process. Depending on the surface condition of the bead hole, polishing make take as long as several minutes. If the mandrel starts to dry out while working, alternately add water then polish paste to maintain the polish level on the glass. Firm but steady pressure on the glass will polish the bead hole fairly rapidly.

Cerium oxide is supplied in 4 ounce (by weight) bottles. $ 4.00 per bottle
