Borosilicate Color Information/Update Page
Borosilicate Color Information/Update Page

As of June 21, 2007, all current new colors from Glass Alchemy and Northstar are now on the website and in stock.

Borosilicate glass rods are priced either by the rod (20") or by the pound per color. Your order may be placed in one rod increments, or fractional pound increments. There is no minimum order and no cutting charge. All rods will be supplied either two 10" lengths or one 20" length. 1 Pound is approximately 11 rods.

Instructions: Select the items you want to purchase by changing the drop down box to indicate the pounds (or fractions of a pound) that you want to purchase. Multiple items may be selected. If you want to purchase a weight that is not shown (for example: 2 pounds), select the one pound price and increase the weight on the Shopping Cart View screen. When you have selected all the items you wish to purchase, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the 'Add to Cart' button. If you made an error, you can correct it on the Shopping Cart View screen. Prices show price per pound, not price for the selection.

Coefficient of expansion (COE): 33

NOTE: We keep track of backorders. If we did not ship you an item on a specific order, you do not have to re-order, we will automatically ship the item when we get it in stock.

NOTE: We recognize and appreciate the descriptions provided by Glass Alchemy and Northstar Glassworks from their websites. I've taken 'sound bites' of them to provide some basic information, but of course, the Glass Alchemy and Northstar Glassworks websites are the best sources of accurate and up-to-date information on how to work their glass and achieve the best results. Thanks, guys!

Note for PayPal Users: As you know, all of our Borosilicate glass is sold by weight. When you place your order, it is quite likely that the glass you receive will weigh more, by some number, than what you ordered. This is normal and completely out of our control, unless you want irregular length rods. Therefore, when you make your PayPal payment, we will apply that payment to the order, but it is possible that the glass weight will be more than you paid for. You will receive an invoice from us detailing the price of the actual shipped product, the amount you paid, and a balance, positive or negative. If there are backorders, it is most likely that you will have a negative balance, which will clear up as soon as any backorders are shipped. However, if you have a positive balance, we respectfully request that you send additional PayPal funds to cover the balance. Thank you for your understanding!
